Paia Fatman Page
Pics of my two
Paia Fatmen:
It’s always good to
have some T.P. on hand!
All the samples were
taken from this one.
The Beefstick is a
regular Paia Fatman kit with 2 lfo mods and a sub-harmonic generator mod. Both mods are found on the Paia website.
The unit is housed
in a metal casing painted with dark green automobile paint. The lettering is done sloppily with orange
laminate-sticky-back-paper.
#2 AN UN-MODIFIED STANDARD
RACK VERSION
The song entitled
“paia demo” was done 100% on this one.
Sorry the samples
are so sloppy. I tend to do everything
half-ass. All of the samples are just
the Fatman. No FX were used.
Made with a multi-tracked un-modded paia:
Sampled from the Beefstick:
I have 2 LFO mods installed. ½ way through I switch from one osc to the
other. Later I combine both. Listen for it. I.M.O. the LFO mod is not worth the effort. The only thing I use it for is for a soft
barely audible warble on bass pads.
The sub bass mod is excellent. I highly recommend it. The Fatman is damn nice for low end as it is
- with sub bass you can destroy.
Random tweaking. I used a midi powered MAM MAP1 for the arpeggiations.
